The Occupational Therapy Department is pleased to announce the addition of the "Functional Tone Management" program for our patients who have suffered from a stroke. This new program uses an award winning custom orthosis combined with intensive outpatient Occupational Therapy and home program to assist the patient to recover function of their affected arm/hand. Occupational therapy is here to work with individuals whose lives have been disrupted by illness, injury, aging, and developmental disability. Occupational Therapy Programs are designed to increase patient’s independence and to restore health, confidence, and self-sufficiency.
We currently provide the following services:
·Inpatient therapy to assist hospitalized patients to regain former level of independence to return home.
·Out patient therapy for injury and disabilities.
·Home Therapy through Mercy Home Health and local Home Health Agencies.
·Pediatric Services for children with mild to severe developmental and physical disabilities.
·Home Safety and Adaptive Equipment Evaluation.
·Cognitive Evaluation and Screenings/Dementia Management.
·Fabrication of Splints.
·Functional capacity evaluation to determine physical ability of injured workers to assist in the return to work.
·Industrial medicine program to provide job analysis pre-work screen and ergonomic evaluation for businesses.
