Mercy Hospital provides inpatient and outpatient surgical services for patients.  As part of a Level IV Trauma Team, our staff is available for emergency and routine procedures 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.  Our surgical team consists of two CRNA's who work to provide quality and safe anesthesia for our patients.  They will conduct an interview with the patient before the procedure and answer all of their questions before going in for their procedure or surgery.  We are staffed with registered nurses, and we also have Certified Surgical Technicians who assist the Surgeon with the procedure.

Our surgery unit includes private patient admitting rooms, a recovery room, two operating suites, and an endoscopy suite.  We have state of the art equipment to meet the needs of our patients.  We are able to do many procedures laproscopically to decrease pain and improve recovery for our patients.

General Surgery - Breast, Gallbladder, Hernias, Thyroidectomy, Bowel Resections, Appendectomy, Hemorrhoidectomy, and Hysterectomy

Endoscopy - Colonoscopy, esophagogastroduodenoscopy, and peg-tube placement

Minor Surgical Lesions

Our surgery staff provides educational material to all of our patients.  We strive to answer all our patient's questions to help them feel at ease and knowledgeable about their procedure.  We will work together as a team to provide our patients with the quality care that  they deserve.
