Mercy Hospital provides Medical and Surgical services and has a Swingbed Program as well—all located on the second floor of the hospital. Care is provided 24 hours – 7 days a week by a quality nursing staff and support services. Mercy Hospital utilizes Registered Nurses, Licensed Practical Nurses and Nursing Assistants to provide a combination primary/team approach for providing care to our patients.

2nd Floor at Mercy Hospital

The Swingbed Program is an essential component for Mercy Hospital to serve our community. It allows patients that are not ready to go home, but no longer meet acute criteria, to receive additional services or care that they need, while remaining in a hospital setting. A multi-disciplinary approach is used to evaluate and develop discharge planning through various departments that assist with a patient’s care. Departments in addition to nursing that may be involved include Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Respiratory Therapy, Pharmacy, Social Services and Dietary. Some or all may be involved in assisting a patient on their way to recovery.
