Mercy Hospital's Emergency Department is staffed 24 hours a day with Registered Nurses trained in advanced cardiac life support, trauma nursing and pediatric/neonatal resuscitation. In the Emergency Department, you will be cared for by a Physician or Physician Assistant. Mercy's Emergency Department is verified as a Level IV Trauma facility by the State Department of Health. The Emergency Department is the "front door" of the hospital for both medical and trauma emergencies. Our Emergency Department staff offers telephone advice to our patrons calling for assistance with their concerns.

The Ambulatory Care Department, located within the Emergency Department, serves a variety of patients of all age groups:

~Outpatient surgery, pre and post-op cares
~Chemotherapy
~I.V. and Medications
~Lab draws from special catheters
~Blood transfusions
~Outpatient Clinics such as ENT, Orthopedics and Podiatry
